Commercial Real Estate Paralegal
Adams & Martin Group has partnered with a reputable law firm in Georgia to find an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal. This role is designed for a highly motivated individual who can perform substantive duties to support attorneys in a multi-state real estate practice. Responsibilities:
Summary:
Under the supervision of an attorney, the paralegal will perform various tasks to support the firm's real estate and other legal matters. This includes researching, compiling, analyzing, and summarizing information to draft legal documents and correspondence. The role also involves coordinating efforts between attorneys, clients, and external parties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and draft documents necessary for commercial real estate sale and/or loan transactions as requested by attorneys.
- Organize all necessary documents and research for matter files and attorney review.
- Review and analyze title documents and surveys, preparing drafts of title and survey objection letters.
- Coordinate and complete all steps necessary for a variety of transactions, including commercial real estate sales, leases, and loan transactions.
- Handle post-closing documentation such as recording, title policies, and closing binders.
- Prepare entity formation documentation and annual filings.
- Conduct online research or document reviews to locate information applicable to cases or subjects.
- Maintain records and enter information into the time billing system regarding work performed by client and matter.
- Other duties as requested or assigned.
Required Skills:
- Concise, highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage workloads from multiple attorneys and organize work to meet deadlines.
- Strong research skills, particularly in property and ownership records across various jurisdictions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Nuance, Adobe, and Legal Document Management Systems like iManage and WorkShare.
- Experience in handling various deals, filings, and transactions relevant to the practice.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate; or equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of five years of commercial law firm real estate experience.
- Experience in commercial real estate and title searches; ability to review and comment on surveys.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Work Hours:
Monday to Friday, 1st shift.

Additional Details:
Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year
